Data Processing Notice
This notice explains what the shared ChessCombine ID needs and how data is used on chesscombine.ru, chesscombine.cc, and in the desktop app.
Data we process
- account data: name, club name, email address, password hash, and email verification status;
- session and security data: session identifiers, IP address, browser or app details, and the time and outcome of sign-in attempts;
- data from features you use: profile settings, games, messages, ratings, and a promo code if provided;
- support messages and technical information you choose to send with them.
Why we process it
To create accounts, sign users in, recover access, synchronize features, prevent abuse, send service emails, support users, and diagnose errors.
Storage and transfer
Account and session records are stored on the server in Russia. The international gateway in Germany forwards encrypted requests to that server and is not the primary account store. Passwords are not stored in plain text.
The website and app store data needed for the current session and selected settings on your device. Do not use remembered sign-in on a shared device.
Retention
Account data is retained while the account is in use or while needed to operate and protect the service. Some security logs may be kept for limited operational periods to investigate abuse and meet mandatory requirements.
Your requests
You may request information about your data, profile correction, termination of active sessions, or account deletion. To protect the account, we may ask you to verify that the request comes from its owner.
